Week Seven Results

The seventh week of the 2017 Virginia Youth Trapshooting League is complete, with 56 youth participating throughout the state.

Overall High Gun was Justin Ledbetter (Flight Control) with a 49 and the runner up was Ian Walker (IWLA- Arlington-Fairfax) with a 48.  The five-way runner up tiebreaker was settled based off of Week 6’s scores.

The Week 7 High Guns in each category are as follows:

Junior Gold: Joseph Parker (Northern Virginia Gun Club) 26.

Junior: Hunter Shoemaker (Frederick County 4-H) with a 48.

Sub-Junior: Ryan Bucher (Frederick County 4-H) with a 46.

Pre-Sub Junior:  Andrew Marsh (IWLA – Lynchburg Flight Control), 35.

About the Virginia Youth Trapshooting League:

The VYTL is an 8 week high school trap shooting competition for Virginia youth up to 22 years of age.  Our unique format provides shooters throughout Virginia with the opportunity to compete at their local clubs and have their scores compared with peers from throughout the state.

This year’s clubs/teams include Alexandria IWLA (Stafford Clay Shooters), Blue Eagles, IWLA Arlington-Fairfax, IWLA- Lynchburg (Flight Control), Northern Virginia Gun Club, and Winchester Gun Club (Frederick County 4-H and Clarke County 4-H).
