The eighth week of the 2017 Virginia Youth Trapshooting League is complete, with 55 youth participating throughout the state.
Overall High Gun was Ian Walker (IWLA- Arlington-Fairfax) with a 49 and the runner up was Dalton Earhart (Frederick County 4-H) also with a 49.
With one week remaining in the 2017 season, merely a few birds separate the top four shooters! The league will take a one week break due to the Memorial Day holiday weekend, but resumes for one final week in June. The VYTL state championship and the AIM championship will be held concurrently on June 11th at Winchester Gun Club. Please plan to attend!
The Week 8 High Guns in each category are as follows:
Junior Gold: No participants
Junior: Brandon McDonald (Frederick County 4-H) with a 48.
Sub-Junior: Dalton Krossman (Frederick County 4-H) with a 49.
Pre-Sub Junior: Andrew Marsh (IWLA – Lynchburg Flight Control), 37.

About the Virginia Youth Trapshooting League:
The VYTL is an 8 week high school trap shooting competition for Virginia youth up to 22 years of age. Our unique format provides shooters throughout Virginia with the opportunity to compete at their local clubs and have their scores compared with peers from throughout the state.
This year’s clubs/teams include Alexandria IWLA (Stafford Clay Shooters), Blue Eagles, IWLA Arlington-Fairfax, IWLA- Lynchburg (Flight Control), Northern Virginia Gun Club, and Winchester Gun Club (Frederick County 4-H and Clarke County 4-H).
