The fourth week of the 2017 Virginia Youth Trapshooting League is complete, with 57 youth participating throughout the state.
This year’s clubs/teams include Alexandria IWLA (Stafford Clay Shooters), Blue Eagles, IWLA Arlington-Fairfax, IWLA- Lynchburg (Flight Control), Northern Virginia Gun Club, Stonewall, and Winchester Gun Club (Frederick County 4-H and Clarke County 4-H).
Overall High Gun was Hunter Pugh (Frederick County 4-H) with a 49 and runner up was Jordon Stevens (Northern VA Gun Club) with a 49. The tiebreaker was settled based off of Week 3’s scores.
The Week 4 High Guns in each category are as follows:
Junior Gold: Joseph Parker (Northern Virginia Gun Club) 37.
Junior: Eric Swahn (IWLA- Arlington-Fairfax) 49.
Sub-Junior: Ryan Bucher (Frederick County 4-H) with a 45.
Pre-Sub Junior: Andrew Marsh (IWLA – Lynchburg Flight Control), 38.

The VYTL is an 8 week high school trap shooting competition for Virginia youth up to 22 years of age. Our unique format provides shooters throughout Virginia with the opportunity to compete at their local clubs and have their scores compared with peers from throughout the state.
