The third week of the 2017 Virginia Youth Trapshooting League is complete, with 60 youth participating throughout the state.
This year’s clubs/teams include Alexandria IWLA (Stafford Clay Shooters), Blue Eagles, IWLA Arlington-Fairfax, IWLA- Lynchburg (Flight Control), Northern Virginia Gun Club, Stonewall, and Winchester Gun Club (Frederick County 4-H and Clarke County 4-H).
Overall High Gun was Hunter Shoemaker (Frederick County 4-H) with a 48 and runner up was Jacob Griffin (Frederick County 4-H) with a 48. The tiebreaker was settled based off of Week 2’s scores.
The Week 3 High Guns in each category are as follows:
Junior Gold: Joseph Parker (Northern Virginia Gun Club) 34.
Junior: Josh Anthony (IWLA- Lynchburg Flight Control) 47.
Sub-Junior: Ryan Bucher (Frederick County 4-H) with a 46.
Pre-Sub Junior: Louis Marangoni (Stafford Clay Shooters), 35.

The VYTL is an 8 week high school trap shooting competition for Virginia youth up to 22 years of age. Our unique format provides shooters throughout Virginia with the opportunity to compete at their local clubs and have their scores compared with peers from throughout the state.
